Your journey begins with a midnight or early morning pickup from your hotel in Pemuteran, followed by a scenic drive to Gilimanuk Harbor. From there, you’ll cross the Bali Strait by ferry to East Java, where a 4WD jeep will take you through plantations and rainforest to the base of Mount Ijen.
Trek through a misty mountain trail under the stars (or soft dawn light), passing giant ferns and jungle trees, until you reach the rim of Ijen Crater, standing tall at 2,883 meters above sea level. Take in the otherworldly sight of the turquoise sulfur lake, framed by dramatic crater walls.

Watch sulfur miners carry up to 80 kg loads along steep, narrow paths—an awe-inspiring reminder of human endurance in one of the harshest work environments on earth.After soaking in the epic views and capturing unforgettable photos, descend the mountain and return to Bali by ferry. Lunch will be served at a local Javanese restaurant before arriving back at your hotel by late afternoon.
